Blowfish Advanced CS (also known as Blue Coat), is a malware removal tool, which has been created by hackers to spy on Windows users and steal their personal information. It’s not just any ordinary malware tool, in that it’s a clone of “Spyware Zoom”, which was itself a clone of Spyware Protect 2009. The fact that it’s free doesn’t help; Spyware Protect 2009 was amongst the most popular anti-spyware tools on the market, used by millions of people. However, with the large number of people who use similar anti-spyware tools, many people find that they’re also being hit by Blowfish. Despite having a name, this particular malware tool is nothing more than an extremely common fake application that infects many Windows computers, and just about any version of Windows will be affected.
This program comes from the same place as the fake “Zoom” application and has been designed to trick you into thinking you have a valid application, which is claiming to fix a security vulnerability. Unfortunately, instead of being able to repair the security issue that the application is trying to pretend to fix, it will just steal your personal data and leave you more exposed than before. Although installing this software is relatively easy, the real problem is removing it once you have it. Blowfish Advanced CS will show up as a branded software from a large company, such as AVG or Norton, and will show up as an encrypted file. It will have infected your PC from the likes of Trojan horses, malicious websites and rogue email attachments.
